Knowledge #1
Someone who is wise will be willing to hear what others have to say and will listen to/obey them. The more knowledge we try to attain the more knowledge that will be given to us. We build up our knowledge on past experiences. We can never attain enough knowledge. As you teach you learn. Learn about all sorts of different things. Whatever amount of knowledge we gain in this life, it will come with us in the afterlife and will be a great advantage to us.
As a mom now I am teaching my kids about gospel principles. If I don't have a knowledge and understanding of them how would I be able to teach them? A simple example is perhaps this. As a primary teacher we had a classes of 6-7 year olds. One child came from a family that is a little chaotic, doesn't come to church often and is likely not being taught gospel principles in her home. She had no idea how to pray. Often children might still need a little help in saying a prayer but she didn't know how to open or close a prayer. That is something my 2.5 year old knows how to do on his own. So it's important for me to be able to teach these principles in word and action.
