Good Works #2
I remember doing this one as a youth. Well I remember the cooking part. I remember not liking it very much. It was harder then I thought it would be. Especially because I had never really cooked anything before! And my dear mother had to endure me cooking in the kitchen. She had the hardest time watching me try and cook as it wasn't the way she would do something. She often left the kitchen and let me figure it out on my own. I don't remember any meals being unedible. So I must have done okay. Now as a wife and a mother this is my life. I do this for more then 2 weeks. I do this every day 365 days of the year. And it is hard and sometimes I wish I didn't have to do it, but I love providing good meals for my family. I know it would be much easier to eat out or buy pre made food but my families health and our finances are much more important then me getting to take it easy. It is such a blessing to serve my family in this way. I love hearing the kids say this is the best thing I have ever eaten or be excited over what I am serving. I also don't even mind hearing them complain about what they are eating.
